It’s every man’s dream: the guy sits back and relaxes while the woman does all the work. Good news! Your dreams can come true – and not just in the bedroom and kitchen, in the dating world too. That’s right, it’s possible to make a move without moving a finger. Here are five tips to increase your chances of having a woman hit on you:

1. Position: As in sex, finding the right position can make all the difference. There are a few key spots where the flow of women is usually greater: the dance floor and the ladies room are two hot spots of the female kind. You don’t have to dance or hide in the ladies stall, but positioning yourself in the vicinity will ensure the right kind of traffic. Two other key places to park it are at the bar and near the door.

2. Look Alive: I know it’s tempting to stare at the TV the entire time you’re at a pub. But, all those baseball, football and hockey games could be costing you the woman of your dreams. Women are less likely to start a conversation or make a move on a guy who’s glued to the screen. Instead, fix your attention on all the lovely women in the room. Look around, make eye contact and smile at the ones you like.

3. Numbers: If you walk into a bar and see virtually no women, you likely won’t be getting any phone numbers. When you first walk into a bar, do a quick scan of the room. Are there a good number of good-looking women? Do they look like they’re taken or are they roaming free? Only commit to a place with a cover charge if you know there are women to be had. Always go where numbers are in your favor – even if it means going to a bar you wouldn’t normally visit.

4. Location: If you’re making eye contact with a woman across the room, what’s the next step? Get closer to your target. This is a prime example of making a move without making the move. Find a reason to relocate nearby with your posse. Chances are that if you’re in her area and she’s interested, she’ll make the effort to meet you.

5. Stay Sober: Or, at least mostly sober. Women get turned off by guys that can’t construct a simple sentence or are foaming at the mouth. You may ruin your chances at scoring a girl if you throw back too many. If you’re just interested in a wild, drunken night with the guys, bottoms up. If you plan on collecting some digits, than stick to the beers on tap.
